Salary Range : $88,192.00 - $136,697.60
Position Overview : We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Nurse III to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. In this role, you will play a critical part in providing high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring safety and comfort during their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform necessary treatments and procedures.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
- Carefully assess patient needs and responses to provided care.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as prescribed, including over-the-counter and prescription medications.
- Work collaboratively with the nursing team to develop and execute comprehensive patient care plans.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program resulting in a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory.1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are essential.Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving principles with the ability to apply them in improving departmental and patient care quality.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center!
