Senior Systems Administrator

Global Science & Technology (GST) is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator. The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for responding to support requirements for customers in the Northern region of West Virginia. The position will require limited travel to all WV Counties above Braxton County, West Virginia. The position requires strong communication and relationship management skills.

Primary Duties :

The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and support of Routers, Firewalls, Managed Network Switches, wireless equipment, PC's, Printers, Scanners, and other miscellaneous hardware. The majority of the duties can be handled remotely; however, travel to customer sites is necessary. Candidate will support the GST client base that has been in place for over 25 years. in addition, the individual will be responsible for assisting Senior Network Engineers and Support Staff with the planning and implementation of IT solutions in the Southern Region of West Virginia. Assisting with Structured and Wireless Cabling installations is necessary.

Required Education / Experience / Skills :

• Associate degree in IT or Information Systems or equivalent military or industry experience with 5+ years' experience is required.
• Candidate must have A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco certifications, and Windows experience.
• Experience configuring routers, firewalls, and managed switches is also required.

Salary at GST is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $85,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the GST total compensation package for employees.
