Patient & Family Concierge (PFC) Opportunity At UPMC St. Margaret
UPMC St. Margaret is seeking a compassionate and service-oriented Patient & Family Concierge (PFC) to join our team. This full-time role plays a vital part in delivering direct patient care and enhancing the overall experience for patients and their families. The PFC serves as a liaison between clinical staff and patients, ensuring smooth communication and personalized support throughout the care journey.
Responsibilities include :
- Welcome and escort patients and visitors to correct locations.
- Provide hospital information and issue parking passes and scooters.
- Track patient belongings at admission.
- Clean and organize patient rooms and public areas.
- Restock supplies and change linens.
- Report maintenance issues.
- Prepare and serve meals per dietary orders.
- Deliver trays and confirm patient identity.
- Safely transport patients, equipment, and specimens.
- Disinfect and inspect transport equipment.
- Set up, sanitize, and test telehealth carts.
- Order and stock unit supplies and equipment.
- Monitor inventory, expiration dates, and temperature logs.
- Answer phones, respond to call lights, and assist patients.
- Follow safety protocols and report incidents.
- Performs in accordance with all other system-wide competencies / behaviors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Must have the desire, drive, and compassion needed to provide an exceptional patient and family experience at all times.High School diploma OR active High School / GED program enrollment OR one year of previous job experience required in lieu of HS Diploma / GED.Previous experience in health care or customer service is a plus, but not required.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances : Act 34UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Veteran
