POSITION SUMMARY
The Therapist assesses the needs of identified clients in order to create treatment plan goals focused on helping clients be successful living in home / community setting. They provide brief, solution-focused therapy, utilizing strength-based, gender-specific, empirically sound interventions to help clients reach treatment goals. This role collaborates as needed with appropriate agency staff and community partners regarding client care issues. The Therapist completes clinical documentation including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, monthly reports and discharge summaries (as required).
This role has a variety of responsibilities, including, but not limited to :
- Providing weekly individual, group and family therapy to adolescents.
- Strengths-based psycho-social assessments of all new clients to determine the focus of therapy.
- Creating treatment plan goals with input from the client, client’s family, if appropriate, and external team members.
- Developing active discharge plans and progress towards goals with each client, family members, if appropriate, and external team members.
- Resource linkage to community programs or services that would supplement treatment and counseling.
- Providing excellent customer service, communication and case management, through regular contact and collaboration with team members and community partners to give / receive feedback.
- Maintaining all client records and documentation according to licensing requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
A Master’s Degree in counseling, social work or related field2 to 5 years of clinical experience providing counseling
Minimum of one year working with adolescentsLicensed or eligible to be licensed in Arizona (LAC, LASAC, LMSW, LPC, LISAC, LCSW, LMFT)Other requirements :
Level One Fingerprint Clearance CardVvalid Arizona Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record, automobile insurance coverage and have access to an automobileCPR and First-Aid certificationWord Processing (MS Word), E-mail, Internet (proficient in using search engines)Client Management Software Certificates, Licenses, Registrations (preferred)Cultural competency and sensitivity; knowledge of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of clients served; and ability to assess and work with the diverse populations of ArizonaFlexible scheduling to work hours necessary to fulfill job requirementsBENEFITS
