Your Role as Disability Support Worker
You'll deliver person-centred services across disability settings. You'll empower individuals to live more independently, safely, and meaningfully by :
Performing personal care, domestic duties, assistance with meals and medicationProviding In home, centre based and overnight respiteEnabling social and community participationAssisting in implementing client-specific programs to encourage independence whenever possiblePromoting individuals physical, intellectual, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual well-beingWhat We're Looking For
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent / relevantProven ability to work in a team environment to build collaborative relationships with individuals who have a disability and their familiesDemonstrated compassion and respect for individuals with a disability, colleagues, and visitorsProof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policyCurrent Driver's Licence and willingness to travel for workCurrent NDIS Worker Screening CardCurrent first Aid CertificateWesley Mission Queensland is a leading not-for-profit provider of health and community services.
