Swiss CNC Setup Specialist (Citizen Lathes)

Location : Plymouth, MN

Compensation : $28–$35 per hour (DOE)

Shift : 1st Shift

Schedule : Monday–Thursday, 6 : 00 AM–4 : 00 PM; Friday, 6 : 00 AM–1 : 30 PM

A day in the life

At 6 : 00 AM, you power up a Citizen Swiss machine and begin orchestrating a setup for a new aerospace / defense component. You dial in tooling, confirm setups for tight tolerances, and complete a first-piece check. Once the process is stable, you choose your path : run the production lot yourself or transition the job by training an operator to take over confidently.

Throughout the day, you keep a sharp eye on quality, reading blueprints, checking features under a microscope when needed, and ensuring parts meet exacting standards. You move from one setup to the next, sharing best practices and keeping production flowing.

What you will do

• Set up new part numbers on Citizen Swiss equipment for production runs
• Either run the production yourself or train operators for a smooth handoff
• Maintain rigorous quality for tight-tolerance aerospace / defense components
