Job description

Overview

Senior Technical Consultant (Secret Clearance) for Appian UK. Engage with customers post-sales to develop software solutions on the Appian platform and lead projects through the full project life-cycle to design, develop, and implement custom software solutions using Appian’s low-code platform for commercial clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects and mentor consultants through fast-paced software implementations
  • Understand client business processes and technical needs in an agile environment
  • Launch new relational data models in production and develop APIs to integrate with multiple systems
  • Collaborate with client technical teams and business users throughout the software development life cycle
  • Drive adoption by empowering clients to build process applications on their own

What Success Looks Like

  • Mentor and develop others; experience leading small teams through post-sale software implementation
  • Ability to define business processes, gather functional and technical requirements
  • Excellent communication, passion for technology, continuous learning, and problem-solving mindset
  • Experience building products using agile methodologies
  • Basic understanding of object oriented programming; experience with relational databases, database design / data modeling, and SQL
  • Knowledge of software testing practices and integrations using APIs (REST, SOAP), JDBC, and web services; familiarity with AWS, AI, Analytics, ML, Google Cloud, and container-related technologies

    • Basic Qualifications

  • Active Government Clearance (Secret or higher) required for this opening
  • Ability and interest to maintain an Active TS : SCI Clearance and work within cleared facilities (SCIF work may be required)
  • 3+ years of hands-on software development or technical consulting
  • B.S. / B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related field
  • Willingness to travel; 10% or less annually
