Compensation

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1660-$1700 per week

ER RN Job Details – Kansas Healthcare Jobs

Location : Topeka, KS 66606 (Kansas nursing jobs)

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nurse contract

Start Date : November 19, 2025

End Date : February 18, 2026

Shift : 12-hour nights (18 : 45 – 07 : 15), 3 shifts / week

Hours per Week : 36

Openings : 3 Emergency Room RN positions

Unit : Emergency Room (ER), 22 beds

Orientation : 36 hours onsite

Weekend Requirement : Minimum 2 weekend shifts per contract

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active KS or Compact Registered Nurse license (required at submission)

At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience

Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications

Proficiency with Epic EMR charting system

Ability to float to similar clinical units as needed

Strong clinical skills in emergency nursing, trauma care, cardiac, and behavioral health

First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply

Must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility (local candidates not accepted)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in a busy Emergency Department for adult and pediatric patients

Assess, triage, and manage patients with trauma, cardiac events, stroke, psychiatric emergencies, and medical / surgical conditions

Administer medications, perform IV starts, central line care, assist with intubation and chest tube management

Respond to rapid response and code situations

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory, radiology, social services, pharmacy)

Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR system

Maintain a safe, supportive, and efficient environment for patients and staff

Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and required onsite modules
