San Mateo County Libraries currently has two Program Coordinator II opportunitiesone supporting Public Services and another within the Human Resources Division.
Under the general direction of the Deputy Director, the Public Services Program Coordinator plans and implements projects to strengthen customer service, safety, staffing, and operational consistency across San Mateo County's 13 community libraries. The Coordinator will help to develop standards and training, coordinate safety & security measures, and track operational metrics to improve service delivery.
The Training / Volunteer Program Coordinator is a project-focused role within San Mateo County Libraries' Human Resources Division that manages the full lifecycle of staff learning and volunteer engagement. Under the direction of the HR Manager, this position builds, coordinates, and maintains the annual training calendar, coordinates volunteer intake and placements, ensures compliance and accurate records in our training and development system and in our volunteer management system, and uses dashboards, surveys, and reports to drive continuous improvement and recognition across the system.
