Lead, guide and direct hourly associates to meet or exceed operational goals, as well as monitoring performances, provide coaching, counseling, and development; and use Key Performance Indicators to make ongoing improvements and enhancementsBe accountable for maintaining integrity for on-time shipments, people utilization, damages; provide periodic reports to multiple tiers within the organization, ensuring accurate communicationCommunicate policies to associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintain compliance and consistency while taking corrective action when neededDirect and ensure top service for internal / external customersDevelop performance goals and objectives to ensure accuracy, quality and customer expectations are metMaintain health and safety standards within the distribution center and promote a positive health and safety culture onsiteDirect and oversee job assignments and plan daily, weekly, monthly, and peak season labor schedulesAchieve financial plans and budget objectivesCheck out some of the required qualifications we are looking for in amazing candidates.
High School Diploma or Equivalent, and 3 - 5 years of relevant distribution or manufacturing management / leadership experienceIn lieu of a degree, 6-10 years of progressively responsible distribution leadership experienceData-driven mindset with expertise cost control and operational efficiencyAbility to lead and coach an hourly employee teamManage relationships with third party delivery providers to maintain contractual standardsAbility to communicate effectively with excellent interpersonal and customer relations skillsMust be highly organized and process oriented with the ability to complete tasks on timeAbility to adapt and change processes to keep pace with the evolving business requirementsStrong technical skills required, but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPointand Power BI reportingWe prefer some of these qualities as well
Six Sigma Black Belt or demonstrated Lean Manufacturing experienceKnowledge and execution of Final-mile delivery models, including white-glove service and same-day or multi-day delivery routingExposure to furniture manufacturing, distribution and / or big box distributionFinal Mile Transportation carrier contract negotiations or procurement experienceExpert understanding Safety and OSHA standardsReview these physical requirements, as they play a major part in this role.
