Presbyterian Village, a Premier Retirement Community located in Austell, GA is seeking a compassionate and creative Part-Time Activity Coordinator to plan, organize, and implement meaningful recreational and social activities for our residents in a long-term care skilled nursing environment. This position reports directly to and works under the direction of the Director of Activities, supporting the overall activity program to promote residents’ physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, coordinate, and lead individual and group activities as directed by the Director of Activities.
• Follow established activity programs, policies, and procedures set by the Director of Activities.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the monthly activity calendar in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to meet varying cognitive and physical needs.
• Communicate regularly with and carry out assignments provided by the Director of Activities.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and social services staff to support resident care plans.
• Document resident participation and progress according to facility and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with special events, holiday programs, and community involvement activities.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Activity Certification preferred.
• Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred.
• Activity coordination or recreational programming experience a plus.
• Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively under supervision.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Compassion, creativity, and a genuine interest in working with elderly residents, including those with dementia.
