Job Title & Overview

Environmental Compliance and Regulatory Consultant [DOE0116115] (Contract or W‑2) – Exempt W2, No Overtime Pay Basis – Located across CONUS, Richland, Washington and the Pacific Northwest Region.

This role supports the Department of Energy – Environmental Management, Hanford Field Office (DOE‑EM / HFO) and the DOE‑EM Consolidated Business Center (EMCBC). The position may convert to a full‑time staffed ProSidian employee.

Job Overview

Provide consulting and support services as an Environmental Compliance and Regulatory Consultant for General Support Services (GSS) at the Hanford Field Office. Responsibilities include monitoring, regulatory reporting, and consulting on RCRA / CERCLA / NEPA compliance to safeguard the environment and public health while supporting the HFO cleanup mission.

Responsibilities

  • Support RCRA / CERCLA / NEPA compliance, monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
  • Provide consulting and strategic recommendations for environmental compliance, ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
  • Assist with oversight, general support services under Job Task #05.27—including electrical, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, training, and environmental regulatory support.
  • Prepare regulator‑ready compliance packages and conduct risk interpretation, data QA / QC.
  • Participate in program and project management activities, maintaining daily business operations.
  • Support field work that may require PPE and ensure adherence to DOE security and clearance requirements.
  • Travel as coordinated with technical contacts and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer.

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years environmental compliance / remediation experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science / Engineering; HAZWOPER certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulatory consulting and compliance in the Environmental Management Sector.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio.
  • Effective communication, risk awareness, and ability to work collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams.
  • Facility clearance required; DOE clearance level may be required depending on task.
