Guidance Counselor Portage High School
School counselors work to maximize student success, promoting access and equity for all students.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist students with academic planning and goal setting
- Collaboration with families / teachers / administrators / community to achieve student success
- Advocate for students at IEP meeting and other student focused meetings
- Data analysis to identify student issues, needs, and challenges
- Acting as a systems change agent to improve equity and access, achievement and opportunities for all students
- Assist students in planning for post secondary options (higher education, military, work force)
- All other duties as assigned
