Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Urology Clinic

Under the direct or indirect supervision of a licensed physician, the Advanced Nurse Clinician / Physician Assistant assesses patients' Medical / surgical conditions, administers treatments under physician orders or in conformity with usual practice, advises and counsels patients or their legal guardian of patient problems. This privilege does not include the practice of obtaining informed consent. Demonstrates knowledge of the psychosocial needs, clinical assessment implications, and / or consequences of technology.

Education

Masters of Medical Science Required

Additional Education Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing Masters program or Masters of Medical Science Physician Assistant Studies. Evidence of continuing education. Current unrestricted Tennessee licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse and RN or Physician's Assistant. Must hold a national Certification in a Nursing Specialty Area.
