Accounts Payable / Receivable Manager
Our client in Houston, TX is seeking an Accounts Payable / Receivable Manager to lead and oversee financial operations within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive expertise in managing high-volume AP and AR processes, as well as a track record of driving efficiency and implementing process improvements. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles to support the Shared Services team.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Drive strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and streamline processes within the Shared Services department.
- Lead the implementation of software tools and systems to enhance financial operations and reporting.
- Supervise and mentor team members, providing guidance and support to encourage attention to detail and growth.
- Monitor and analyze financial data, including general ledger entries and month-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies across all financial activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial operations with organizational goals.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts, maintaining accuracy and reliability in financial records.
- Develop and present reports to senior management on team performance and financial metrics.
- Participate in audits and ensure readiness for external and internal reviews.
Requirements :
Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with a focus on AP and AR.Proven ability to lead and manage teams in a high-volume manufacturing setting.Strong expertise in Shared Services operations and process improvement.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems.Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close procedures.Demonstrated experience in implementing software tools and driving operational efficiencies.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred.Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
