Your Mission
As a Field Engineer, you'll be responsible for operating, maintaining, and upgrading state-of-the-art satellite ground station systems. This is a highly dynamic role that blends fieldwork, troubleshooting, and mission-critical satellite support. You'll join a tight-knit, experienced team and receive on-the-job training to grow your expertise.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain satellite communications equipment and support systems
- Perform routine service, testing, and preventive maintenance
- Respond to real-time operations, including satellite launches and critical pass support
- Troubleshoot and isolate faults in RF, IT, or mechanical systems
- Assist with installing new systems and equipment
- Maintain accurate logs and technical documentation
- Perform general site and facility upkeep
Minimum Qualifications
Understanding of basic electricity and electronicsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and interpret technical documentsWillingness to learn satellite ground station systems and proceduresComfortable working at heights (up to 15 meters) and in all weather conditionsFlexibility to work night / weekend shifts and respond to call-outs within 2 hoursSafety-conscious and able to enforce safe work practicesFamiliarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPointValid U.S. driver's licensePreferred Qualifications
