Operations Supervisor, Manufacturing

What You Will Do

As an Operations Supervisor, you will manage daily manufacturing and production operations to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals. You will develop a deep understanding of can components and manufacturing equipment, apply SPC and basic quality management tools, oversee quality control and continuous improvement initiatives, ensure safety programs and plant policies are followed, mentor and motivate the workforce, manage resources, labor records, and warehouse product flow, and collaborate across all levels of the plant to deliver results in a 24 / 7 industrial manufacturing environment. There is potential for growth into a future operation or manufacturing supervisory role at other Silgan locations nationwide.

What You Bring

• Associate's degree or higher
• Supervisory experience in manufacturing, production, or plant operations
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to spend 40% or more of the time on the production floor and work flexible hours
• Talent to make public presentations in small and large group settings
• Desire to grow into larger operations or manufacturing management roles, including relocating to other plants across the country
