Job Description
This position plays a vital role in ensuring that workers’ compensation claims are accurately processed, documented, and tracked from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities :
Receive and process First Reports of Injury (FROI) submitted by member dealers, ensuring all required details are complete and accurate.
Verify claim information and coordinate with employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators to ensure timely claim setup.
Maintain detailed claim records and tracking logs in Excel, updating all data to reflect current claim status.
Monitor open claims for key developments such as lost time, medical updates, or litigation and provide regular status updates to clients.
Prepare and distribute claims analysis reports to identify trends, loss patterns, and safety improvement opportunities.
Communicate directly with member dealers to provide guidance, clarification, and support on claim procedures and documentation requirements.
Assist the Safety Group Manager with administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and reporting.
Uphold confidentiality and compliance with New York State Workers’ Compensation laws and organizational policies.
Qualifications :
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database management.
Ability to manage multiple claims at various stages while meeting deadlines.
Prior experience in insurance, workers’ compensation, or claims administration preferred but not required.
