Medical Assistant

Optum is looking for a dedicated and reliable Medical Assistant to join their internal medicine clinic in Laguna Hills, CA. This full-time position requires on-site presence from Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM.

We seek a dynamic candidate who excels at multitasking, brings high energy, and demonstrates a friendly and compassionate demeanor towards patients. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently while also being an effective team player.

Training with a preceptor will be provided for the first 1-2 weeks. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, documenting, and outreaching to patients via phone calls. This person should be comfortable seeing a high volume of patients, averaging 16 patients per day and seeing mainly a geriatric patient population.

• Experience with Epic EMR system
• Customer service experience
• Medical Assistant Diploma or Certification
• High School Diploma or GED
• BLS Certification from American Heart Association
• 6+ months of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Reliable, positive energy, personable, and hardworking
