Join Our Team as a Professional Development Specialist RN!

Location : Swedish First Hill, Seattle, WA

Position : Full-time (1 FTE), Variable Shift

Are you passionate about empowering clinical staff and enhancing patient care? At Swedish First Hill, we are looking for a Professional Development Specialist RN to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will play a crucial part in fostering clinical growth and expertise among our staff, ensuring safe and positive patient outcomes.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Professional Development Specialist RN, you will :

  • Assess the learning needs of staff and help them create personalized professional growth plans.
  • Design and implement educational activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clinical team.
  • Utilize effective tools to measure learning outcomes and provide necessary support.
  • Consult with individuals and groups on educational delivery methods and curriculum development.
  • Identify learning deficits and create opportunities for growth.
  • Assist staff in planning formal educational opportunities, such as conferences and further education.
  • Prepare and review educational materials to ensure they are accurate and evidence-based.
  • Coach staff on utilizing online resources for knowledge acquisition.
  • Collaborate with Patient / Family and Community Education to address learning needs.
  • Coordinate learning activities with Employee Learning and Advancement departments.
  • Maintain your own expertise in teaching and clinical competency.
  • Make learning engaging and enjoyable!

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications :

  • Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • 3 years of nursing leadership experience, including clinical experience in the relevant service line.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Focus on education with current clinical competence in the service group.

    Pay Range : $57.86 - $89.83 (base pay range; additional compensation may be available)
