Benefits Representative
Collin County is seeking exceptional candidates to fill the position of Benefits Representative. This position is responsible for the day-to-day administration of benefits for county employees including retirement, medical, dental, life insurance, long-term care, short-term and long-term disability, and FMLA. Other duties include assisting employees by answering benefit questions, providing benefit information, assisting with enrollment forms and insurance claims, preparing correspondence and reports, and processing insurance administration bills, new hire paperwork and termination paperwork. Conducts new hire orientation and processes related paperwork. May assist in other areas as needed. Under the direction of Human Resources Risk Manager. Performs other duties as assigned.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail are required. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. PeopleSoft experience is strongly preferred. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Human Resources or a related field with two or more years' experience preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.
