Position Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor Receiving & Inventory Control will oversee inbound operations, product replenishment, and inventory accuracy across the warehouse. This role is responsible for ensuring all inbound shipments are received, inspected, and processed accurately, stock is replenished efficiently, and all inventory movements are tracked and reconciled within the WMS. The Supervisor will lead a team in maintaining accurate inventory levels to support smooth warehouse operations while driving efficiency and quality standards. In addition, this role provides cross-coverage for other Supervisors during absences to maintain operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound & Receiving Oversight
- Supervise daily receiving operations, including scheduling inbound freight, unloading, inspection, and system receiving.
- Ensure all shipments are verified against purchase orders and documented accurately in the WMS.
- Oversee quality checks to identify damages, shortages, or discrepancies and coordinate resolution with vendors and procurement.
- Manage staging, put-away, and replenishment processes to ensure efficient use of space and timely product availability.
Replenishment & Inventory Control
Supervise replenishment activities to ensure pick locations are consistently stocked to meet outbound demand.Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with planning and fulfillment teams to prevent stockouts.Lead cycle counts, spot checks, and reconciliation of discrepancies; drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.Maintain system accuracy through timely and correct WMS / ERP transactions (receipts, adjustments, transfers, etc.).Leadership & Team Management
Lead, train, and mentor receiving and inventory staff, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.Assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and adjust priorities to meet operational goals.Support employee development in WMS use, inventory processes, and warehouse best practices.Provide coverage and operational oversight for other warehouse Supervisors during absences to ensure continuity.Health, Safety, and Compliance
Enforce OSHA and company safety standards during unloading, material handling, and put-away operations.Conduct safety audits and training specific to receiving equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).Maintain a clean, safe, and organized inbound and storage environment.What we're looking for
35 years of warehouse leadership experience, with a focus on receiving, replenishment, or inventory control.Strong knowledge of WMS / ERP systems and inventory management processes.Proven success in reducing inventory discrepancies and improving stock accuracy.Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Forklift certification or ability to obtain required.What you'll bring
