• Summary The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the operation of all production related equipment, including modification, installation, repair and preventative maintenance.
• Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain all secondary / support machinery, pumps, AC / heating units, compressors, electrical panel, building (minor) and plumbing.
• Maintain all tumblers and sanding equipment.
• Proper diagnostic and problem solving in an immediate response situation to all equipment failure.
• Ensure proper documentation and information is recorded on a daily basis.
• Maintain cooling tower, parts washer and driers.
• Perform preventative maintenance duties to keep equipment in optimal performance.           Perform minor electrical troubleshooting.  Proper diagnostic and problem solving in an immediate response situation to equipment failure.
• Check overall condition and operation of equipment on an ongoing and regular basis.  Ensure that all plant equipment has adequate spare parts, including but not limited to essential stock.
• Work with vendors and contractors to identify proper replacement parts and services.
• Take active part in training and helping others as required.
• Participate in continuous improvement teams as required.
• Ensure full implementation of all relevant procedures and instructions..
• Attend training activities as required.
• Participate in safety and OSHA training.
• Qualifications, Education and Experience Graduation from high school or receipt of equivalent degree (GED). 3+ years of experience with mechanical repairs or related mechanic experience Basic electrical, welding, and fabricating skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety requirements (preferred).
