Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Neuro

\n\n

Job Details : \n

  • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM

    • \n

  • Travel assignment for 38-bed medical surgical neurological unit

    • \n

  • Patient ratio typically 4 : 1, currently running 5 : 1 due to staffing needs

    • \n

  • Required certifications : NIH certification, BLS, and heavy med-surg background

    • \n

  • Preferred certifications : ACLS and neuro experience

    • \n

  • Work with specialized equipment including IV pumps, seizure monitoring, Bi-pap, C-pap, and glucometers

    • \n

  • Use Meditech electronic medical record system

    • \n

  • Perform NIH / stroke assessments and neurological assessments

    • \n

  • Conduct fall risk assessments

    • \n

  • Provide trach care and manage feeding tubes

    • \n

  • Must be highly motivated team player with strong critical thinking skills

    • \n

  • Need to be passionate about neuro patient population

    • \n

  • Able to multi-task, take initiative, and think quickly

    • \n

  • Must be positive, energetic, flexible, and engaged with patient experience

    This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility featuring a specialized 38-bed neurological unit on the 7th floor. The facility utilizes advanced neurological monitoring equipment and follows Neuro Clinical Practice Guidelines for stroke care. The unit maintains experienced staff with 55 team members and emphasizes quality neurological care for stroke patients and other neurological conditions. The facility is committed to providing excellent patient care and maintaining high standards for neurological assessments and treatments.
