In the role as the Network Technician , you will help our team bring the next round of stories to life on the United Center campus.

The Network Technician plays a vital role in keeping our systems connected, secure, and performing reliably. You'll manage network hardware, monitor and optimize performance, and provide technical support to ensure a seamless experience for users. This role also offers opportunities to collaborate with vendors and teams across the organization and provide hands-on engineering support for evening events.

What you'll do :

  • Maintain all network switching, routing, wireless hardware, and remote connectivity ensuring security and reliability.
  • Perform onsite evening event support and engineering.
  • Monitor and diagnose performance issues with the network architecture.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to end-users having network-related issues.
  • Defines, documents, and enforces system standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry standards through continued training and certifications.
  • Function as liaison between vendors, consultants, and business partners.
  • Collaborate with any contractors or employees whose work is necessary for the above goals.

What you'll need :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of network experience.
  • Proven experience managing large and complex networks.
  • Proficiency in networking and voice protocols, including TCP / IP, VoIP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Strong understanding of wireless infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of installing and troubleshooting various cable types, including copper and fiber optic.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • CCNA or equivalent certifications are preferred.
  • The pay range for this role is $65,000-70,000 annually. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, 401K retirement plan with company match, paid time off and commuter benefits.
