Job Title : Valve Technician – Oil & Gas Industry
Location : Lewisville / Carrollton, TX
Travel : May require overnight stays, weekends, and extended workdays, especially during peak seasons (Feb–May and Sept–Dec).
About the Role
An industry leader in pumps, valves, and fluid transfer solutions is seeking a skilled Valve Technician to join their team. This is a hands-on role for a motivated professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional service. You will perform testing, inspection, calibration, repair, and assembly of a wide range of valve types and related components for clients in Power, Oil & Gas, Refining, Chemical, and Food & Beverage industries.
This position blends independent fieldwork, team collaboration, and shop work , providing the opportunity to make a direct impact on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain Pressure Relief Valves (PRVs), Flow Control Valves, Regulators, Electronic Instrumentation, and Electric Actuators (up to 480v) .
- Assemble new and repaired equipment to meet quality and safety standards.
- Document repair, testing, and assembly activities, including failure analysis, parts used, and labor hours .
- Provide technical assistance, troubleshooting, and repair recommendations directly to customers.
- Participate in both field and shop service calls , often requiring travel to client sites.
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and evaluate valve components to identify failure modes.
- Work with inside sales to source parts and quote repair services.
- Perform sandblasting, painting, and related finishing work as needed.
- Deliver comprehensive repair reports , clearly describing as-found conditions and recommended repairs.
- Identify opportunities to expand the scope of services or products provided.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, quality standards, and company regulations .
Qualifications
Technical degree or a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Control Valves, Isolation Valves, Safety Relief Valves, or Electric Actuators (MOVs) .Strong mechanical intuition ; experience in precision millwright work or electrical systems is a plus.Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.Proficiency with MS Word, Excel , and other basic computer applications.Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills .Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to work 8+ hour shifts , often in challenging environments (indoor / outdoor, extreme temperatures, noise, vibration).Comfortable with frequent climbing, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and manual dexterity .Must be able to wear full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) , including hardhat, safety glasses, FR clothing, steel-toe boots, hearing and respiratory protection.Available for travel by air and ground as assignments require.Why Join Us
