What's the role?
Warehouse Shipping Supervisor
Ensure all orders are complete for the dayProvide a 2-week forecast of orders vs associateCoordinate with Leads to ensure all orders are fulfilled prior to shipping or installationCoordinate with Inventory on any inventory discrepanciesWork with Customer Service and Project Management on all orders in Project PulseReturn all damaged product to inventory along with all mis-packed or SROsSupervise all outgoing orders to ensure all packing is complete and in compliance with company SOPsOversee warehouse clean-up at end-of-dayProvide all tools and space required for pickers, packers, and lead.Assist with all technology issues (computers, printers, scanners)Assist Customer Service and Project Management on any shipping issuesSupervise the proper pick-up of all products as neededCoordinate any pick-ups or drop-off of shipments or product from and for the shipping departmentCreate warehouse shipments 72 hours prior to shipmentNotify Customer Service regarding any delayed shipmentsReview all on-time, in-full discrepancies and provide feedback to improve company KPIEnsure all required shipping documentation is completed and filed correctlyIs the go-to from all areas of the organization in the absence of Shipping ManagerActively suggests continuous process improvement plansEnsures that LEAN methodology is being upheldOther duties as assigned by ManagementWhat you need :
3+ years shipping experience to include actively managing LTL / FTL shipments to reduce costs and freight damagesHigh school diploma or a GED equivalent certificate required.Basic knowledge of using and operating warehouse machinery and equipment including forklifts preferred.Driver’s License and clean driving record.Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)Experienced using, operating and maintaining warehouse machinery and equipment including forklifts and pallet jacksExperienced with Project Pulse (Internal) or similar shipping board platformsExperienced with Business Central knowledge (internal) or other ERP platformsCompany Product knowledge (internal)Quality Control Process knowledgeSupervisory experience (2+ associates)All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
