Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role as a caregiver to residents in long-term care. You will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Your work will be instrumental in meeting both the physical and emotional needs of our residents.

  • Assist residents with essential daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and meal support.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, document resident interactions, and communicate any changes in condition to the charge nurse.
  • Help residents with mobility, including transferring and repositioning, using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Participate in wellness and recreational programs to encourage resident engagement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, including light housekeeping and laundry duties.
  • Provide companionship and psychosocial support to enhance the quality of life for our residents.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum age of 16.
  • Prior experience in long-term care preferred, but not required.
  • CNA certification required through the State Board of Nursing or completion of the certification process within four months of employment.
  • Must complete yearly competency testing and maintain continuing education credits.
  • For applicable states, must be registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
  • May require a driver's license and completion of a vehicle report depending on facility needs.
