Registered Dietitian

Nutritional Care Specialist

Responsible for nutritional care of patients. Plans, assesses, implements, and evaluates patient nutritional care plan. Assists in menu modifications and other nutritional related functions.

Job Responsibilities :

• Mentor and train team members.
• Perform varied clinical tasks and problems of minimal complexity.
• Interview patients and / or family for nutritional history, obtain food preferences, assess patients, and document in medical records.
• Conduct nutritional assessment, develop and implement patient care plans, and recommend nutrition care plans to medical staff.
• Recommend therapeutic diet modifications and / or supplemental feedings to physicians.
• Provide nutritional guidance, education, and counseling to patients and families.
• Contribute to changes to patient's menu and oversee food service workers.
• Support clinical team members and department management with daily operations.
• Prepare, present, and conduct education classes and refer clients to community services.
• Develop and utilize communication regarding nutrition information.
• Provide in-services to culinary, food service, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Participate in Quality Assurance / Performance Improvement tasks.
• Solve or escalate operational problems and technical issues.
• Perform related duties as required.

Job Qualification :

Salary Range : $64,350-$98,500 / year
