PHYSICAL THERAPIST POOL

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Performs routine and complex physical therapy tasks including tasks of moderate to high complexity for hospital patients.

Performs routine and complex assigned tasks in additional areas owned by Johnson Memorial Health (JMH) in the rehabilitation and sports medicine department, on site and off site, including tasks of moderate to high complexity.

Utilizes therapeutic techniques and modalities to provide direct patient care; uses a variety of techniques in applying treatment. Ensures quality of care and initiates treatment promptly; coordinates care with other disciplines.

Provides appropriate services to meet the needs of the department's customers as requested including but not limited to effective and consistent communication and the documentation of accurate and timely information.

Participates in Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance activities as determined by JMH Administration including JMH operations improvement.

Independently performs quality control / customer satisfaction procedures, documents results, and investigates and resolves issues, with appropriate supervisory notification of activity.

Evaluates current practices and makes appropriate suggestions to improve productivity and enhance expense reduction; assists in the evaluation of new procedures and equipment; monitors the purchasing of supplies and inventory control.

Provides technical guidance for customers as it relates to physical therapy procedures and operations.

Attends meetings inside and outside of JMH as designated. Participates in professional activities and continuing education to maintain professional expertise.

Performs other duties as required.

Conducts all activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and Johnson Memorial Health policies and procedures including Blood and Body Substance Precautions.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING :

Must have current Indiana license as a Physical Therapist.

SCHEDULE :

Primarily looking for weekend help 8am-3pm (varied) for acute care. We also may have needs through the week if available and interested (acute vs. outpatient).
