Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lab Technician to perform laboratory tests and other tasks using both conventional and computerized machines. You will play a critical role in determining the chemical and physical characteristics or composition of materials. This position requires setting up, readjusting, and operating laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure accurate results.

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory work and tests according to prescribed standards.

Determine the chemical and physical characteristics or composition.

Set up, readjust, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.

Enter a variety of data to maintain records, update information, and track results.

Respond to basic or standard customer questions regarding formulas and the mixture process.

Clean, maintain, and calibrate standard equipment, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

• Work Environment

This position is in an industrial lab environment, not a clean room or biological lab. You will work flexible 1st shift hours, Monday through Friday, typically an 8-hour shift starting between 7 / 8 AM until 4 / 5 PM, with core hours from 8 AM to 4 PM. The dress code is business casual, and you will wear a lab coat. The company promotes from within, but candidates should be aware that there is an expectation to be in this role for 9 months, with potential for conversion.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Garland, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00 / hr.
