CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANGER
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing construction contracting firms in the VA / DC / MD region, recognized for its rapid expansion across both the commercial and government sectors. As a Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, gaining hands-on experience across a diverse range of industries and project types. You’ll also receive training and mentorship in industry-leading tools such as Bluebeam and Procore, enhancing your technical skills and exposure to the design and management aspects of modern construction projects.
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANGER REQUIREMENTS :
- 5-8+ years of experience managing masonry and restoration projects (brick, CMU, stone, precast, sealants, waterproofing)
- Proven ability to lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, including schedule, budget, safety, quality, and client relations
- Strong cost control and project management skills : budgeting, forecasting (EAC), buyouts, pay applications, and change-order negotiation
- Expertise in scheduling and coordination using MS Project or Primavera, including 3-week look-aheads and field planning
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage field teams and represent the company with owners, GCs, and architects
PLUS SKILLS :
OSHA-30 certification and working knowledge of scaffolding / mast-climber safety proceduresExperience using construction management software such as Bluebeam, Procore, Textura, and Microsoft 365Familiarity with quality control processes, including mockups, inspections, and enforcing code / spec complianceUnderstanding of contracts and risk management, including scope reviews, delays / claims, and time-extension requestsPrior experience working within major Masonry companies.CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANGER RESPONSIBILITIES :
Lead and manage all phases of construction projects — from preconstruction planning and budgeting through field execution and project closeout — ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standardsDevelop, monitor, and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets, proactively identifying risks, controlling costs, and maintaining strict safety compliance across all job sites.Coordinate and communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and clients to drive collaboration and resolve project challenges in real timeEnsure strict adherence to project specifications, drawings, building codes, and quality standards, implementing inspection and testing protocols to guarantee top-tier workmanshipOversee project documentation and reporting, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, pay applications, and closeout packagesLead and mentor field teams, including foremen, assistant project managers, and labor crews, fostering a culture of accountability, productivity, and safetyConduct and lead project meetings (OAC, subcontractor coordination, internal reviews) while serving as the primary point of contact for owners and general contractorsManage procurement and logistics, including takeoffs, material buyouts, and scheduling of deliveries to maintain project momentum and avoid delaysLeverage construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project to manage documentation, scheduling, and communication efficiently
