Join Our Marine Practice in Seattle

You will become a part of COWI North America's Marine Practice which is comprised of approximately 60 skilled marine experts located across the U.S. and Canada and among a world-wide organization of more than 7, employees. Our company is distinguished in marine, waterfront, and port structures, and we handle dive inspections as well as coastal and geotechnical projects throughout their full lifecycle. Our services range from consultancy on a specific issue to comprehensive planning, engineering design, and construction oversight.

We are looking for a Marine Structural Engineer to join our team in Seattle. In this position, you will join our global team of experts and work closely with your Technical Director and Project Managers to deliver critical marine infrastructure projects across North America.

On a day-to-day basis you will :

• Perform tasks on projects requiring a broad and deep knowledge in the field of structural engineering and marine infrastructure
• Perform structural analysis and design including reinforced and pre-stressed concrete design, steel design, deep foundations, earth retaining structures, etc.
• Implement design best practices to ensure conformance with all applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
• Prepare and review calculations for analysis along with preparing engineering reports and memoranda
• Prepares construction drawings and other documents, such as technical specifications
• Perform construction administration activities along with performing site inspections and other tasks as required.

Working closely with your manager, you will establish a plan for your growth and broaden your understanding while engaging in local and global tasks each day.
