We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in McMurray, Pennsylvania. This role is 100% onsite and offers an excellent opportunity for growth through a Contract to permanent arrangement. The position involves working across multiple departments to ensure accurate billing, data entry, and financial collections.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and process billing statements for various departments with accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform data entry tasks related to earned income tax, real estate collections, and sewage billing.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure proper handling of billing-related inquiries and discrepancies.
- Maintain and update computerized billing systems to reflect current transactions.
- Generate reports and reconcile accounts to support financial documentation.
- Ensure compliance with established billing procedures and government regulations.
- Assist in resolving payment issues or disputes by communicating with customers or relevant parties.
- Organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Conduct routine audits of billing records to identify and correct errors.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance billing operations.
- Demonstrated experience in billing functions, including preparation and collection.
- Familiarity with computerized billing systems and software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for resolving customer or departmental inquiries.
- Knowledge of earned income tax, real estate collections, or sewage billing processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Capacity to work independently while collaborating within a team setting.
