job summary :

The Privacy Architect is responsible for aiding in implementing, integrating, and maintenance of IT solutions to meet privacy requirements. This position will enable enterprise business solutions to comply with compliance obligations, industry standards, and customer expectations relating to the ever-evolving privacy landscape.

What You'll be Doing :

  • Collaborate with Privacy Office on privacy impact assessments to identify and mitigate risks associated with data processing activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy considerations into the design of systems, applications, and processes.
  • Recommend adjustments to a wide variety of information systems to address data privacy risks.
  • Drive and contribute to developing, implementing, and enhancing technical data privacy controls throughout the company.
  • Stay abreast of evolving privacy laws and regulations, ensuring the organization's practices align with current standards.
  • Provide guidance on data anonymization, encryption, and other privacy-enhancing technologies.
  • Collaborate with the Privacy Office to conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance with privacy requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Privacy Office to respond to privacy incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the Privacy Office to educate and train employees on privacy best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Interface with IT team members and outside vendors concerning data privacy requirements.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications) :

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in a related field (e.g., information security, computer science, law). Master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years experience in IT with broad range of exposure to data systems.
  • Proven experience as a Privacy Architect or in a similar privacy-focused role. Experience in designing and implementing privacy solutions in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Experience with data and application integration.
  • Experience with data privacy across state boundaries.
  • In-depth knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and others.
  • Expert knowledge of NIST Privacy Framework.
  • strong understanding of information security principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex privacy concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to assess and balance privacy risks against business needs.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CISSP, IAPP) are a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of privacy.
