Community Summary : Talega is located in the hills above San Clemente—the "Spanish Village by the Sea"—on the Southern California Coast, midway between Orange County and San Diego. It is a premier master-planned community celebrating its 25th anniversary, comprising 3,864 homes, surrounded by beautiful mountains, open spaces, and numerous outdoor trails for residents to explore.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure Talega's parks, landscape, and recreational facilities are maintained in excellent operational condition.
Oversee regular inspections of all parks and facilities for repairs, maintenance, and improvements.
Coordinate with landscape contractors and consultants to ensure budgets are adhered to and projects are prioritized.
Ensure subcontractors meet specifications and complete work according to Talega standards.
Identify opportunities for service delivery improvements and recommend procedures.
Lead the Design Review Team to prepare consistent policy applications for the committee and Board.
Monitor vendor performance against contracted scope and propose bidding or scope adjustments following Board policy.
Collaborate with consultants and committees to maximize aesthetic appeal while minimizing costs and risks.
Prepare and deliver vendor and amenity evaluation reports, including corrective action recommendations.
Ensure associates provide superior customer service and maintain facilities at optimal levels.
Ensure adherence to association policies and procedures and compliance with all applicable laws and governing documents.
Lead project management coordination of multiple vendors and strategic projects.
Manage the homeowner work order process with timely completion and follow-up.
Oversee daily inspections and vendor activities for landscape, custodial, pest control, maintenance, and repair.
Partner with the Executive Director to drive the Capital, Maintenance, and Reserve project schedule.
Provide support to committees as necessary.
Identify areas for improvement and recommend actions to enhance corporate operations.
Maintain on-site visibility within the community and with the team.
Work closely with the Executive Director and Board to implement strategic plans, goals, and objectives.
Apply governing documents knowledge to initiate appropriate legal opportunities and implementations.
Supervise key teams, administer payroll, and conduct performance reviews for growth and development.
Lead meeting agendas and provide written and oral reports as required.
Ensure homeowner needs and desires are addressed.
Attend professional group meetings and stay abreast of industry trends and innovations.
Schedule and attend monthly staff touch-base and function meetings.
Assist in annual budget preparation and ensure adherence to the association budget.
Review policies for compliance with civil code, declarations, and other governing requirements.
Attend all company mandatory functions.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Act in the absence of the Executive Director, maintaining business with highest professional, ethical conduct.
Support workflows and meet schedules as required.
Participate in meetings and work groups to integrate activities, resolve issues, and maintain knowledge of regulatory guidelines.
Follow safety precautions and company SOPs.
Perform special project tasks as assigned.
