The Personal Banker is responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include :
- Assist in overseeing the operational functions of the banking center and provide support to staff (e.g., answering questions, coaching, offering encouragement, feedback, and constructive criticism as needed).
- Perform required steps to process loan applications and customer-initiated financial transactions, open new accounts, and sell banking products and services.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients to identify and meet their needs through the sale of financial products and services.
- Generate sales leads through community outreach activities and develop business partnerships while strengthening internal relationships.
- Assist clients with concerns or questions regarding their accounts. Explain service charges, statement issues, product features, etc., and work to resolve complex or sensitive customer matters.
- Create workforce stability by cultivating an engaged and enthusiastic team through effective coaching on proper behaviors, sales techniques, service expectations, and compliance guidelines, while modeling those same behaviors.
- Ensure the banking center's audit and compliance procedures are followed while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
- Ensure completion of regulatory compliance and training related to sales and service responsibilities for yourself and your associates.
Required qualifications for the position include :
Banking experience.Minimum of one year of successful sales experience in an incentive-driven or relationship-based selling environment; demonstrated performance in meeting and exceeding goals.Minimum of 6 months of cash-handling experience in a retail sales environment.Ability to generate referrals, including making on-site visits with local businesses.Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).Must have a current Notary commission or be willing to obtain one (pursue application, bond, and notary seal) at the bank's expense.Preferred qualifications for the position include :
Successful sales record in a retail banking environment, with knowledge of bank services and products.Bilingual skills (fluent verbal and written Spanish).Pay Rate Range : $42,000 - $52,000 annually
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
