The Company is in search of a Vice President of Fraud Operations to spearhead its enterprise-wide fraud management and prevention initiatives. The successful candidate will be tasked with modernizing and optimizing fraud operations, driving a multi-year fraud modernization strategy, and building a robust fraud ecosystem. This leadership role demands a strategic yet hands-on approach, with a focus on collaboration across departments, leveraging technology to enhance controls, and developing high-performing teams. Key responsibilities include leading the fraud operations division, partnering with various functions to create seamless fraud prevention workflows, and overseeing chargeback, recovery, and loss mitigation programs. The role also involves acting as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Applicants for the Vice President of Fraud Operations position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred, and have at least 10 years of experience in fraud operations, financial crimes, or enterprise risk within a banking, fintech, or payments institution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in card, payments, and digital fraud prevention, as well as strong regulatory fluency and the ability to navigate a technology-forward organization. Qualifications include expertise in various fraud prevention and detection techniques, experience in managing large-scale chargeback and recovery functions, and a history of successfully implementing automation and AI / ML tools to enhance operational performance. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
