Job description

Data Engineer & Power BI Report :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and architecture for BI and analytics.
  • Develop and manage ETL / ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric tools (Dataflows Gen2, Data Factory, Notebooks).
  • Build visually compelling and performance-optimized reports and dashboards in Power BI.
  • Implement best practices for DAX, Power Query (M), and data visualization.
  • Utilize Lakehouse architecture and OneLake for centralized data storage and processing.
  • Ensure high levels of data quality, integrity, and security across all platforms.
  • Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot dataset refreshes, report performance, and data pipeline issues.
  • Maintain documentation, data dictionaries, and metadata using governance tools within Fabric.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or BI development roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Report Design, RLS).
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric - including Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, OneLake.
  • Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries (T-SQL or equivalent).
  • Experience in data integration using Azure Data Factory or Synapse Pipelines.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, schema design, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with source control tools (e.g., GitHub, Azure DevOps).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
