We are seeking a New Product Development Engineer to join our Industrial Air Filtration business unit. In this role, you will contribute to the development and evolution of air filtration products that serve global customers across various markets. Your work will help maintain Donaldson's position as an industry-leading supplier to major OEMs and end users, while supporting our ambitious growth objectives.
This is a senior-level engineering position focused on innovation and product advancement. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a collaborative mindset to help shape the future of our product portfolio.
Qualified candidates must be able to work a hybrid schedule at of our Bloomington, MN office / facility.
Role Responsibilities :
Contribute to the creative process of transforming product concepts into best-in-class air filtration solutions that protect manufacturing equipment, processes, and the people who rely on them.
Partner with global operations teams to understand manufacturing constraints and design products that meet specifications while ensuring manufacturability and efficiency.
Review product specifications and process validation plans; develop and execute fitness-for-use testing to ensure product performance and reliability.
Lead research initiatives by conducting experiments, analyzing data, and preparing technical reports to evaluate new technologies aimed at enhancing performance, reducing costs, and improving quality.
Collaborate with experienced engineers across business units to provide technical insight and resolve complex engineering challenges.
Apply prescribed procedures and conduct detailed analyses to develop design options and recommendations for product structures, systems, and components.
Support project activities to deliver cost-effective, timely results that meet technical program objectives and product specifications.
Travel : Up to 15%
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering orrelated field
7+ years of engineering experience or related experience required
Preferred Qualifications :
Working knowledge of local exhaust ventilation systems
Working knowledge of filtration principles
Strong communication skills
Self-Driven & Motivated
Ownership of responsibilities, projects, and actions
Willing to learn and take on new challenges
Able to work with limited supervision
Well organized
Ability to maneuver through and manage multiple projects.
Relocation : This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
Annual Salary Range : $122,000-142,000. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance.
This position is eligible for annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
