The Position :

The Electrical Engineer in the Repair Center will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing solar inverters and related electrical equipment, performing board-level component replacement, and supporting quality testing under safety protocols. This role offers strong technical growth opportunities, including progression to advanced diagnostic responsibilities and broader engineering functions.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform repair of solar inverters and electrical devices, replacing board-level components according to engineering and repair standards.
  • Independently diagnose device issues and propose corrective solutions.
  • Conduct testing of repaired equipment, including handling of high-voltage circuits with comprehensive safety training.
  • Document and analyze repair data to support process improvements and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, service, and training) to improve product reliability.
  • Contribute to the development of repair procedures and training materials based on field and repair center experience.
  • Maintain compliance with EHS (Environmental, Health, Safety) standards in all repair activities.

Education or Desired Licenses and Certificates :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with circuit boards, power electronics, or related electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with test and measurement tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, torque wrenches, etc.).
  • Ability to lift and handle equipment up to 60 lbs.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer literacy for logging repairs, data analysis, and following digital work instructions.
  • Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and effective in a technical team environment.

  • Work Location and Status :

  • Contract-to-Hire, Hybrid in Houston TX

  • For candidates in the states of California, Colorado, New York and Washington, the anticipated annual salary for this role is between $80,000 - $100,000 per year. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The base salary offered is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, education, location, or other factors related to the role.
