Summary of the Role

The Systems Support Specialist is responsible for installing and supporting standard and non-standard desktop hardware and software technology (PCs, printers, software, etc.). This position coordinates television studio operations our of our NYC office, PC moves, new PC / Laptop setups, software and hardware troubleshooting, IT-related projects, and occasional after-hours technical support. The Systems Support Specialist will act as the sole onsite support for 20 local associates and will assist with remote support for associates in other offices.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Receives and accurately records details of problems called into the Help Desk, including status and resolutions to problems
  • Manages users, computers, and security groups in Active Directory / Azure Active Directory
  • User Administration, account permissions, management, provisioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Deploy and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Handles PC setups and configurations in a timely manner
  • Installs desktop computer hardware and software, including upgrades
  • Provides support in the following areas : PC software applications, desktop hardware, audio-visual, network, and data communications; maintains skill level sufficient to provide such support
  • Sets up and coordinates audio-visual for small and large events in the office
  • Troubleshoots standard and non-standard desktop hardware problems and coordinates repairs with users
  • Handles support for all internal / remote users and ensures they have the proper hardware setup and functionality to perform their jobs
  • Communicates with other Systems Support Specialists and the Director of Systems Support regarding project status; escalates issues to Team Leads and Director as necessary
  • Provides after-hours support and 24x7 coverage for both the helpdesk and computer operations teams when on call every 5-6 weeks
  • Manages vulnerability assessments and remediation
  • Coordinates operations within the television studio and responds to any issues (training provided)
  • Occasionally operates the batch processing system and promotes development code to production using supplied scripts (training provided)
  • Performs related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must have a proven background in customer service
  • Experience working with and supporting executives is a must
  • 3+ years of PC troubleshooting experience
  • Strong background in audio visual
  • PowerBI experience preferred
  • Broadcasting experience preferred, but not required
  • A+ and / or Network+ certification preferred
  • Compensation Disclosure

    The compensation for this role takes into account various factors, including work location, individual skill set, relevant experience, and other business needs. The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 annually. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

    Please note that this is the current estimate of the base salary range intended for this role at the time of posting. The base salary range may be adjusted in the future.
