Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Location : San Antonio, Texas 78258

Healthcare Setting : Women's Pavilion, Labor & Delivery Unit

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : October 9, 2025

End Date : January 8, 2026

Nursing Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM (12-hour nights), rotating weekends

Hours per Week : 36

Employment Type : Travel RN, On-Site

Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1820–$1950 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license (no temporary licenses)

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications

Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications

Experience with fetal monitors and Meditech documentation system preferred

Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns

Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using advanced clinical equipment

Assist with vaginal deliveries and Cesarean sections

Accurately document patient care using Meditech / CPN systems

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Float to other units as required to support hospital operations

Maintain professionalism and adhere to hospital dress code and policies
