This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Data Engineer in the United States .

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain large-scale data systems that power analytics, business intelligence, and operational insights across the organization. You will work with diverse stakeholders, including product, software, and analytics teams, to deliver reliable data pipelines, reports, and solutions that drive informed decision-making. The position requires expertise in cloud-based platforms, distributed systems, and modern data architectures, along with a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset. You will have the opportunity to influence enterprise-level data strategies while operating in a dynamic, remote-friendly environment.

Accountabilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale, scalable data systems and pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise reports, high-performing data feeds, and machine learning-ready datasets.
  • Build and optimize ETL / ELT pipelines using tools such as dbt, Airflow, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Apply best practices in software engineering, data management, and distributed systems (e.g., MapReduce, noSQL databases).
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for data-driven insights and implement effective solutions.

Contribute to architecture, infrastructure, and automation strategies for large-scale cloud platforms

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a data engineer, software engineer, or in a related role.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing scalable data architectures, data pipelines, and warehousing solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and related big data technologies (Glue, Kinesis, Lambda).
  • Advanced SQL skills (Postgres, Snowflake) and Python programming proficiency.
  • Experience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
  • Knowledge of data lakehouses, open table formats, and data cataloging.
  • Familiarity with analytics and visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative skills, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
  • Preferred : experience with encryption, anonymization, tokenization, CI / CD pipelines, and containerization.
