Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty : Oncology Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : Two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia & lymphoma in an inpatient setting License : NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license Certifications : BLS - AHA and Telemetry-Chemo Certification with ONS preferred Must-Have : - ASN required - Strong assessment and intervention skills - Ability to manage care of patients - Commitment to patient-centric care Description : The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patients' needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiates assessment based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages care of patients effectively. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
