Must-Have :

• Previous experience in sterile processing
• Experience in an acute hospital setting
• Familiarity with Epic charting system

Description :

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, preparation, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments.

The role includes case cart picking, storage, and distribution of sterile instrumentation.

Candidates must possess certification in HSPCA / CRCST.

A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician is required.

This position operates on a 5 x 8 days schedule from 08 : 00 to 16 : 30.

Weekend rotation is involved, but there are no on-call requirements.

Candidates should be proficient in aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures.

Additional skills include the use of automated endoscope reprocessors and high-level disinfection protocols.

Knowledge of proper labeling and selection of wrapping materials is essential.

The role may require familiarity with various medical instruments and procedures associated with multiple specialties.
