As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Your expertise and collaborative approach will ensure optimal health outcomes for our patients.

Position Overview :

Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive direct and indirect patient care.
Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively about the patient’s clinical condition.
Showcase your knowledge of growth and development principles to deliver age-appropriate care.
Encourage a culture of nursing excellence through support and collaboration with colleagues.

Qualifications :

Graduate of an accredited Nursing program with current licensure in the state of Connecticut.

Must have Basic Cardiac Life Support certification upon hire or complete during the introductory orientation period.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Basic computer skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct comprehensive assessments and reassessments, considering medical and surgical needs along with psychosocial, physical, educational, and cultural aspects.

Utilize appropriate pain management strategies and educate patients and families accordingly.

Develop and revise individualized care plans based on ongoing assessments and patient responses.

Administer medications safely while adhering to established protocols.

Document care accurately and promptly, ensuring thorough records of the nursing process.

Exemplify flexibility and organization while managing stressful situations with sound judgment.

Create teaching plans tailored to identified learning needs, engaging family members in the education process.

Demonstrate expertise in administering antineoplastic therapy and manage associated side effects and risks.

Monitor patients on telemetry, providing immediate assessments and interventions as needed.
