BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Accounting Contractor / Senior Accountant in Boston, MA 02109

Job Title : Senior Accountant (Contract) – Boston, MA

Location : Boston, MA 02109

Pay Rate : $41.00 - $42.00 / hour (W2)

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 40 hrs / week

Duration : 12-Month Contract (possible extension)

Have additional experience writing SOP along with their accounting experience.

About the Role :

BCforward is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Contractor to support the Health Connector Authority. This role will focus on payroll processing, month-end close, reconciliations, audit support, and payroll system implementation while improving internal controls and streamlining accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage core accounting activities : month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, reporting, and payroll support.
• Review, document, and improve accounting processes, SOPs, and internal controls.
• Support payroll system implementation, including requirements, validation, and data migration.
• Assist with audit deliverables, compliance filings, and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
