Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Graphic and Fabric Production Supervisor to oversee the planning, production, and installation of printed graphics and fabric elements for custom tradeshow exhibits and environments. This role bridges design intent with physical execution, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet project timelines, client expectations, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production Supervision
- Oversee all aspects of graphic and fabric production, including printing, finishing, QC, and packing.
- Manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and integration with booth builds.
- Supervise and lead a team of graphic / fabric technicians and vendors as needed.
Project Coordination
Collaborate with project managers, designers, and account teams to review graphic and fabric specifications for each exhibit.Participate in pre-production meetings and translate design files into production-ready specifications.Coordinate with vendors for outsourced printing or fabric production when needed.Quality Control
Ensure all graphics and fabrics meet design specifications, color matching standards, and structural fit.Perform pre-flight checks, print proofs, and final QC before shipping or installation.Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly to prevent project delays.Technical Oversight
Operate and maintain large-format printers, cutters, and heat presses.Oversee dye-sublimation fabric production, including stretching, sewing, and finishing.Ensure proper file preparation, RIP software operation, and material handling.Inventory and Materials Management
Monitor and maintain inventory of graphic substrates, fabrics, inks, and production supplies.Forecast material needs and coordinate reorders in collaboration with procurement.Installation Support
Occasionally assist with on-site graphic / fabric installations at tradeshows or events.Provide install documentation and labeling to support field crews.Qualifications
Experience : 3–5 years in large-format printing or fabric production, preferably in the tradeshow / exhibit industry.Technical Skills : Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), RIP software (Onyx, Caldera, etc.), and wide-format printers (HP, EFI, Mimaki, etc.).Fabrication Knowledge : Understanding of tension fabric systems, SEG (Silicone Edge Graphics), dye-sublimation printing, and finishing techniques.Leadership : Prior experience managing production staff and coordinating across departments.Attention to Detail : Strong eye for color accuracy, print quality, and file preparation.Communication : Clear communicator with strong organizational and time management skills.Physical Requirements : Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a warehouse / production environment.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in exhibit or event production environments.Familiarity with trade show systems (e.g., Octanorm, BeMatrix, Aluvision).Working knowledge of CNC routers or sewing equipment is a plus.Work Environment & Schedule
