The ideal candidate will possess neurology and medical surgical / telemetry experience and be comfortable providing care in a fast-paced environment. The unit is a Certified Stroke Center and a Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.\nResponsibilities\n
• Provide patient care for adults and geriatrics with neuro-related diagnoses.\n
• Monitor and manage telemetry patients.\n
• Administer medications and IV therapy, including blood product administration.\n
• Assist in pre / post-operative care for neurosurgery patients.\n
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and patient care planning.\n
• Support patient mobility and rehabilitation efforts in coordination with physical therapy.\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with neurology and medical-surgical / telemetry experience.\n
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.\n
• NIHSS certification required.\n
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and charting systems, preferably Cerner.\n
• Preferred certifications : Maryland Approved Trauma Certification, TCRN.\n
